Dr. Mark Harris
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Originally from Star Valley, Wyoming, Dr. Mark Harris decided to become a dentist because he not only enjoys helping people in the profession of health care, but he also enjoys the artistry involved—especially in cosmetic dentistry.
After serving for two years as an LDS missionary in Perth, Australia, Dr. Harris attended Brigham Young University in Provo, where he met his wife, Larisa. Now with 5 kids, he and his wife welcome all BYU jokes and have within the family both U of U and BYU fans! “Keeps things lively!” he says.
During the making of this fun family, Dr. Harris attended dental school in Omaha, Nebraska, where in 2002 he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree cum laude. He was also presented with awards in Oral Surgery and Prosthodontics, including the American Equilibration Society Award for outstanding performance in the science of occlusion and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) function.
Following dental school, Dr. Harris owned a successful dental practice in Soda Springs Idaho for 5 years. Although he and his family enjoyed their time in Idaho, they felt drawn to the Ogden area, and in 2008 they moved here. “I truly have met some fantastic people here in the Ogden area. I hope to be able to continue in a tradition of gentle and personal patient care, because that’s what people deserve.”
Over the past 10 years of private practice, Dr. Harris has spent significant time in continuing his dental education, seeking out advanced studies across the country to stay abreast of the most current treatments available, including more advanced oral surgery techniques and placement of dental implants. Dental work today is easy and comfortable, especially in Dr. Harris’s hands. He makes the patient’s comfort his primary concern, and treats dental work as art. He provides comprehensive dental care for the entire family.
The Harris family, which includes Mark’s wife Larisa, and children, Samuel, Melissa, Marah, Luke, and Olivia, enjoy spending time together. When not working on your teeth, Dr. Harris can sometimes be found snow-skiing, hiking, wake-boarding or watching Utah Jazz basketball games
Dr. K.C. Wilkins
Doctor of Dental Medicine
Dr. KC Wilkins graduated summa cum laude from Southern Utah University in 2004, and later graduated cum laude from the prestigious Temple University School of Dentistry, the second oldest operating dental School in the United States.
In dental school Dr. Wilkins was awarded many honors, including the Leonard C. Abrams Award for knowledge in dental anatomy and occlusion, honors from the International College of Dentists, and induction into the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Dental Honor Society, an honor only given to the top 10% of his graduating class.
Since graduation, Dr. Wilkins has spent a substantial number of hours in continuing education, earning certificates on a wide range of procedures and topics including dental cosmetics and “smile makeovers.” He also takes great pride in providing superior patient education.
Depending on the condition of a certain mouth, there are often multiple treatment options which can sometimes leave a patient feeling somewhat confused. Dr. Wilkins commits himself to his patients to make sure they make an informed decision regarding the health and cosmetics of their teeth, with the overall goal of achieving long term health and comfort. “Begin with the end in mind”. -Stephen R. Covey
Immediately after graduation, Dr. Wilkins went to work as an associate dentist in Flagstaff, AZ. After a time there, he moved with his family to the Ogden area and began working with Dr. Harris as a co-owner of Cobble Creek Dental. “I love being my own boss,” he says. “I never have to feel like a pushy salesman; and I get to focus on doing what is best for the patient, rather than what is best for the shareholders of a corporation.”
He maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, and the Weber County Dental Association. He is also fluent in Portuguese, due to having served an LDS mission in Minas Gerais, Brazil for 2 years; he also speaks Spanish.
Dr. Wilkins and his family moved to the Ogden area in 2008 and they love it! The mountain biking trails are fantastic and so are the people. When he’s not thinking about teeth, he can be found spending time with his family. He and his wife Lynnette were married in 2002 and they enjoy their four children (Zachary, Miles, Violet, and Daniel). He also finds time to enjoy mountain biking, hiking, and reading.
Shelli keeps everything running smoothly as our experienced office manager. She helps take care of business concerns so the doctors are able to just focus on patient care. She decided to enter the dental profession at the young age of 10 after she developed a crush on her oral surgeon! Shelli has been in the dental field for 20 years now and loves working at Cobble Creek because everyone is so aware of the patients. She also loves anything creative whether it’s cooking, painting, quilting, or gardening and it’s even better when she can create something with her husband, children, or grandchildren!
If you have dental insurance, Cari will be your best friend. Her goal is to make sure that you squeeze every drop of benefit out of that insurance that you can–minimizing your out-of-pocket expenses. She graduated with High Honors in 2001 from the dental assisting program at Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College. She takes pride in her work and has a bubbly sense of humor. Cari loves that the doctors at Cobble Creek Dental have a real passion for dentistry and their patients. She has a soft spot in her heart for children and donates to Pennies by the Inch and Lots of Love, which is a charity her friend started. She also loves camping, swimming, sewing, animals, sports, and spending time with her family.
Kassidy graduated at the top of her class in dental assisting and has been working at our office for several years. She started out by assisting the doctors and did such a great job that now she is our Scheduling Coordinator as well! Hers is often the pleasant voice on the phone when you first call our office. Her natural gentle and caring nature makes her a natural in dentistry. She grew up right here in North Ogden, and she and her husband have two beautiful kids, Asher and Aspen. She likes running, camping and boating with family, crafts and scrapbooking. And, get this: her favorite song? “One” by Metallica!
Tiffany is our lead dental assistant. She loves helping people and coming to work every day! She graduated from the Utah Institute of Dental Assisting and has now spent about 8 years in the business. Tiffany decided to go into the dental profession because she loved having her orthodontic work done and she wanted to help other people feel good about their smile. When she’s not at the office, she loves to do things like backpacking, reading, and being around animals.
Riley is originally from Preston, Idaho and is the oldest of 4 siblings. She loves working in dentistry. She once had a job she didn’t love–moving chickens. She said it was difficult because of their large talons (wink, wink–Preston Idaho/Napoleon Dynamite joke). She has become such a valuable part of our team, and specifically assists in the dental hygiene department, since her goal is to become a hygienist. Riley also has a great sense of humor. She says that the top 3 highlights of her life are 1. Becoming and aunt, 2. graduating high school, and 3. becoming toilet trained! Hahaha! She also says, “I wouldn’t change a thing, everything in my life has molded me into who I am.”
Shaylee is a native of Ogden, and grew up playing all kinds of sports, but especially softball. She wouldn’t brag, but we happen to know that she was something of a legend on her high school softball team. In fact, she was one of the best home-run hitters in the state of Utah! So if Cobble Creek puts together a co-ed team this year, watch out! She still loves sports of all kinds, both watching and playing. Most importantly to us though, she is an excellent dental assistant and compassionate person. She’s very easy to get along with and is so fun to have on our team! Go Shaylee!
Alberta is one of our dental assistants who really enjoys working with people and helping educate them in dentistry. She has 10 years of experience of helping patients as a dental assistant. Alberta loves working at Cobble Creek Dental because everyone is really efficient at what they do and there is a high standard of professionalism. When she’s off-hours, she loves spending time with her husband and 2 teenage children.
This is our newest dental assistant, Melissa! She and her husband David have three kids, Ashely, Jacey and Cody. Outside of the dental office she is an adventurer! You might see her up in the hills hiking or biking. She loves spending time with her family. Melissa has been a dental assistant for several years and treats patients with a confident and gentle touch. We’re glad to have her on our team!
Allison is one of our dental hygienists and loves our patients and the relationship she has with them. She graduated with Honors and has an Associate Degree of Applied Science with a major in dental hygiene. Allison loves getting the opportunity to help people lead a healthier life and make a difference in people’s health. She loves the Cobble Creek Dental’s philosophy to always strive to do quality, ethical dentistry. When Allison isn’t cleaning teeth, she loves running, hiking, and spending time with her husband Russ and their dog Brooke.
Megan is one of our dental hygienists and is passionate about improving people’s oral health. She graduated with High Honors and has a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. She is really involved with the American Dental Hygiene Association and has served in many leadership positions including president and delegate. Megan also loves her patients, coworkers, and being able to provide a high quality of care to her patients. However, her favorite thing is being a mom; it’s the best thing she’s ever done!
