Dr. K.C. Wilkins
Doctor of Dental Medicine
Dr. KC Wilkins graduated summa cum laude from Southern Utah University in 2004, then cum laude from the prestigious Temple University School of Dentistry, the second oldest operating dental School in the United States.
While in dental school, Dr. Wilkins was awarded many honors, including the Leonard C. Abrams Award for knowledge in dental anatomy and occlusion, honors from the International College of Dentists, and induction into the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Dental Honor Society—an honor reserved for the top 10% of his graduating class.
Immediately after graduating with his DDM, Dr. Wilkins went to work as an associate dentist in Flagstaff, AZ. In 2008, he moved with his family to the Ogden area and began working with Dr. Harris as a co-owner of Cobble Creek Dental.
“I love being my own boss,” he says. “I never have to feel like a pushy salesman, and I get to focus on doing what is best for the patient, rather than what is best for the shareholders of a corporation.”
Since his graduation from dental school, Dr. Wilkins has spent a substantial number of hours in continuing education, earning certificates on a wide range of procedures and topics, including dental cosmetics and “smile makeovers.” He also takes great pride in providing superior patient education. He is committed to helping his patients make informed decisions regarding the health and cosmetics of their teeth, with the overall goal of achieving long-term health and comfort. He is inspired Stephen R. Covey’s advice to “Begin with the end in mind.”
Dr. Wilkins maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, and the Weber County Dental Association. He speaks Spanish and, having lived in Brazil for two years as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is also fluent in Portuguese.
When he’s not thinking about teeth, Dr. Wilkins can be found mountain biking, hiking, and reading. He also loves spending time with his family. He and his wife, Lynette, were married in 2002, and they have four children: Zachary, Miles, Violet, and Daniel.
Dr. Mark Harris
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Originally from Star Valley, WY, Dr. Mark Harris decided to become a dentist because he not only enjoys helping people in the profession of health care, but he also enjoys the artistry involved—especially in cosmetic dentistry.
After serving for two years as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Perth, Australia, Dr. Harris attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he met his wife, Larisa. Now with five kids, he and his wife welcome all BYU jokes and have within the family both U of U and BYU fans, which “keeps things lively,” he says.
During the making of this fun family, Dr. Harris attended dental school in Omaha, NE, where, in 2002, he received his DDS degree cum laude. He was also presented with awards in oral surgery and prosthodontics, including the American Equilibration Society Award for outstanding performance in the science of occlusion and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) function.
Following dental school, Dr. Harris owned a successful dental practice in Soda Springs, ID, for five years. Although he and his family enjoyed their time in Idaho, they felt drawn to the Ogden area, and in 2008, they moved here.
“I have met some truly fantastic people here,” he says. “I hope to be able to continue in a tradition of gentle and personal patient care, because that’s what these people deserve.”
Over the past 10 years of private practice, Dr. Harris has spent significant time in continuing his dental education, seeking out advanced studies across the country to stay abreast of the most current treatments available, including advanced oral surgery techniques and the placement of dental implants. He provides comprehensive dental care for the entire family. His patients’ comfort is his primary concern, and he treats dental work as an art form.
The Harris family, which includes Mark’s wife, Larisa, and their children, Samuel, Melissa, Marah, Luke, and Olivia, enjoy spending time together. When not working on your teeth (and, depending on the weather), Dr. Harris can be found skiing, hiking, wakeboarding, or watching Utah Jazz basketball games.
Shelli decided to enter the dental profession at the young age of 10, when she developed a crush on her oral surgeon! She has been in the dental field for 20 years now, and she loves working at Cobble Creek, because everyone is so aware of the patients. As our experienced office manager, Shelli keeps everything running smoothly and helps to take care of business concerns so Dr. Wilkins and Dr. Harris are able to focus on patient care.
Shelli loves anything creative, whether it’s cooking, painting, quilting, or gardening—and it’s even better when she can create something with her husband, children, or grandchildren!
